MODEL SETS FOR BEGINNING CHEMISTRY
BC120 INTRODUCTORY CHEMISTRY SET
This economical model set has all of the parts you need to be successful in a college/university level General or Organic Chemistry course. This set contains 120 durable plastic components that can be used to build thousands of different molecules. The bond lengths are scaled for accuracy. This model set has both rigid and flexible bonds. Rigid bonds allow for easy transformation between "boat" and "chair" conformations. Flexible bonds are great for creating multiple bonds and securely holding the atoms within the structures. The instructions include pictures that show how to assemble the atom models. It is the perfect size to carry in your backpack or purse.
BC112 BALANCING ACT!
Balancing Act makes learning to balance chemical equations fun and easy. Students practice balancing chemical equations using hands-on molecular models to simulate combustion reactions. Students identify the reactants (starting materials) and products (resulting substance). The Balancing Act Model Set makes it easy to count the number of atoms of each element and see the mathematical relationship between the quantity of reactants and products.
BC102 GASOLINE MODEL SET
Kids see gasoline pumped into the tank of a car, but what exactly is that fuel? There are about 650 different hydrocarbon molecules in gasoline! Students use their imaginations to discover and build many of these hydrocarbon molecules. In addition to hydrocarbons, some gasoline mixtures contain ethanol. Students build the model of ethanol and compare the structures of ethanol and hydrocarbons.
